Google, The Most Powerful Free People Search Online

Most likely after spending a considerate amount of time online one has seen a couple of advertisements for finding old friends and former classmates. These websites may be very tempting to use considering the amount of curiosity that arises when one thinks of doing a search for former friends and classmates but these sites are never free. It may seem impossible to find a free people search on the Internet, but it surely isn't, and the solution to this might be a little surprising. The answer is Google. Google is the most powerful free people search online and it is very simple to use, as a large number of people already know how to use Google since it is a popular search engine searching for old friends or classmates won't be much different than using it for everyday use.

Finding old friends on Google is easier than ever by simply entering the person's name in the general search. After doing this two different things can happen. Depending on the same, a large number of results may be produced. If this is the case it may be necessary to further filter through the results to find who you are really looking for. If the name is quite uncommon, the results may produce the correct information on the first try.

There is no need to worry if the search produced too many results, as there are a number of ways to narrow down the search for old friends and former classmates. Before trying anything else, first place quotes around the name that is being searched. This will ensure that the Google only provides results of the first and last name together, rather than any articles containing the first name and last name randomly or separately. If this still produces too many results or no information is found on the correct person you are searching for, there is a "News" option at the top of the main Google page, click on this instead of search after typing in the name. If there are any news articles regarding the person that is being searched they will be found here.

If both the general search and the news search failed, there is yet another great option to utilize when searching for someone. Just as the news feature was at the top of the Google page there is a "blog" one as well. Use the blog search just as you would the news search, and this will search all online blogs for the persons name. If the person who is being searched writes in a blog, this could lead you to them allowing for direct contact with them through their blog page. This could also lead you to a friend or relative of theirs, who could then contact the person for you.

Other options on Google to use are searching "images" and "maps". These probably will not offer any helpful results but it is worth a try. Google images may produce a photo of your friend also leading you to a website to contact them through. Google could display a business your friend owns, or even if the person you are searching for is now a doctor, their place of practice could pop up on Google Maps.

Using Google to find people may not the fastest solution, but it is definitely a powerful free means of finding someone. Patience and creativity will make the search process much easier when using Google to find a former friend or classmate, and remember not to give up, as new articles are always placed on Google and something new can be found everyday.
